Jankenpopp – 2004, multimedia performance, 2013

Jankenpopp is at once a true show man, a D.I Y master’s, a visual artist and a protean producer.
Dada and electronic dandy, Jankenpopp is a 31st century one man band who plays exploding audiovisual rainbow sets, with custom sensors made to handle sound and image into a multimedia performance.

Jankenpop’s endless taste for work expresses through a wide range of mediums (electronic music, performance, multimedia lute making, visual arts, code..). Yet it’s truly through multimedia live sets that he successfully combines his futuristic approach of improvised performance with his sense of iconoclast audiovisual composition playing his numerous interactive DIY instruments.

Following more than a hundred solo sets all through Europe, in 2012 came his first long awaited album « Rêve et amour » ( Dream and Love, a humoristic reference to the famous French singer Johnny H.) : a true work of art mixing pure pop tracks with synthpunk, dancefloor hits and IDM experimental items.

Jankenpopp is an unclassifiable figure of the French electronic scene, a futuristic multimedia musician who drives his way multisided and incredibly exhilarating. You just have to come and watch him inviting the audience to play interactive musical sausage: (no misundertsanding, it’s not what you mean!) : you won’t see that elsewhere !
