Copy Companion Club is a friends’ club, copying each other. Inspired, at random, by Surfing Clubs, Creative Commons, Free Art License and the Mickey Club, CCC’s objective is to promote the art of copying in the Post-internet era.
Nowadays, works or art and their representations spread through the web and thus become available material, ready for reappropriation by other artists. When production companies and governments alike are striving to ban copying, CCC claims to be a free space for copying : a playground where geek and contemporary artists from any generation and any country in the world may question their relation to copyright and to their own creation process.

The online platform was launched in 2013 in Paris at La Gaîté Lyrique.
Today, the website hosts more then 120 works of art by more than 90 international artists under CCC license.

The 10th edition of the Gamerz Festival is the first occasion for CCC, invited by M2F Créations, to investigate the exhibition space by settling at the Vasarely Foundation.
14 artists-companions present their “copies” of another artist’s work. These “copies” are not replicas, but true tributes, winks and diversions creating dialogue between artists through their art pieces.

Emilie Brout and Maxime Marion were born in France in 1984 and 1982. They live and work in Vincennes.
